Shane Lehew, his dad Troy and his grandpa have all been collecting checks in local tournaments in and around Lake Norman for almost a decade. Shane has expanded his horizons and has been fishing the Bassmaster Elite Series since 2019, qualified for his first Bassmaster Classic and has been "in the money" in every Bassmaster tournament he's entered, except the 2019 Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship, where he finished 6th and only the winner gets a tournament check. In this bass fishing video interview, Shane and Troy talk about their tournament success fishing the Alabama rig (aka umbrella rig or A-rig), especially on Lake Norman. They talk about their models of Shane's Baits Alabama Rigs, how they have replaceable arms and how the design makes them more fishable than traditional/heavier Alabama rigs. Learn when, where and how to fish an Alabama rig, color selections for baits, adjusting to local regulations on number of baited hooks and getting good hookups that result in landed bass.
